Virtual Sports Employment Fair - any substance in this concept?

Stumbled upon this event currently happening in the USA - it is a Virtual Sports Employment Fair.
Apparently, by spending $35(US), the jobseeker gets all the benefits of the usual sports employment conference, whilst saving on travel and other human contact activities.
